Why flowers and a bookshelf?
In a Durham University study published in PLOS One, the same faces were rated as more trustworthy and more competent in front of plants or a bookshelf than in front of a living room or a novelty background. These sets give you both, with the arrangement kept to one side so your face stays the focus.
